Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026 · FreedomHub (freedomhub.at)

FreedomHub is built by Russians for freedom. This page explains what data we process when you use the website and related services (VPN, messenger, browser rooms, desktop rooms, and downloads).

1. Who we are

FreedomHub operates the website at freedomhub.at and related apps/clients. For privacy questions, contact admin@freedomhub.at or use in-site Support.

2. What we collect

  • Account data — username, email, and a hashed password when you register.
  • Session data — login cookies so you stay signed in.
  • Service usage — feature access such as Premium status, VPN weekly data usage (for quota), and room session metadata (container id/port, last activity).
  • Messenger content — messages you send in public/shared channels.
  • Technical logs — basic server logs (IP, time, URL) needed for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.

3. What we do not sell

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

4. VPN privacy

  • VPN access is provided for privacy and open access.
  • We track aggregate data volume per account for weekly quotas (Free / Premium limits).
  • We do not build a marketing profile from your browsing destinations.
  • If you hit the weekly limit, access may pause until reset or upgrade.

5. Browser & desktop rooms

Temporary Firefox and Linux desktop sessions run in isolated containers. Session state may be saved for a limited time so you can resume. Idle sessions are stopped automatically. Do not store highly sensitive secrets only inside temporary rooms.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login/session (for example FHSID) and temporary room session cookies. These are required for the site to function.

7. Google advertising

On selected public informational pages, FreedomHub may use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to serve and measure advertising, including ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser as a result of ad serving.

You can learn how Google uses data on partner sites in the Google partner-sites privacy notice. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or opt out through aboutads.info. Where required by law, advertising consent is requested through the configured consent mechanism before non-essential advertising is used.

8. How long we keep data

  • Account data — while your account exists.
  • VPN weekly usage — current week counters (resets weekly).
  • Room sessions — short-lived; stopped/removed after idle timeout or cleanup.
  • Server logs — retained only as long as needed for security and operations.

9. Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Access to admin tools is restricted. No method is perfect; protect your password and use VPN key reset if a device is lost.

10. Your choices

  • Update or stop using your account at any time.
  • Contact us to request account deletion or data questions.
  • Log out to end your browser session cookie.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
